About Agustina
Dr. Agustina Lacarte
Dr. Agustina Lacarte leads teaching, learning, leadership development, and school improvement across international education contexts, working in partnership with schools, senior leadership teams, and education systems to strengthen educational quality, leadership capacity, and student outcomes.
Her experience spans primary, secondary, and International Baccalaureate (IB) education, including leadership roles as Head of Primary, PYP Coordinator, and Director of Teaching and Learning. She has led whole-school improvement initiatives in curriculum design, assessment, instructional practice, and leadership development, contributing to outcomes such as 100% external examination pass rates, improved student retention, stronger teacher engagement, and a 12-point increase in family satisfaction (NPS) within one year.
A core aspect of Dr. Lacarte’s work focuses on leadership development. She designs and facilitates professional learning for IB educators and senior leaders, including Heads of School and programme coordinators, with consistently high participant satisfaction exceeding 90%. She also coaches Heads of School, Deputy Heads, and coordinators during periods of implementation, accreditation, and organisational change, supporting sustained leadership capacity in complex international school environments.
Alongside school-based leadership work, Dr. Lacarte serves as an international education consultant and trainer, supporting schools in Europe with IB implementation, curriculum alignment, assessment systems, teaching and learning strategy, and whole-school improvement. In recent projects, leadership teams have strengthened instructional coherence, teacher engagement, and organisational alignment within six weeks.
At system level, she has contributed to educational improvement initiatives with the Ministry of Education in Paraguay through an international project focused on school evaluation and improvement planning. This work included school reviews, leadership observations, stakeholder engagement, and diagnostic reporting to support evidence-informed decision-making across schools.
Dr. Lacarte brings 14 years of experience in higher education as a university lecturer in Early Years and Primary Education. She is an active contributor to the field as a speaker at TEDx events and IB Global Conferences, and she is co-author of a practical book on classroom strategies and future-focused learning: https://skillsforabetterfuture.com
Her work is driven by a central focus: supporting schools and education systems in translating ambitious educational vision into practical, sustainable improvement that strengthens learning, builds leadership capacity, and creates meaningful impact for students and communities.
