Dr. Agustina Lacarte is an experienced educator and leader in the field of international education, with a passion for empowering students to become proactive, agentic, and self-regulated learners. With over a decade of experience in teaching, program coordination, and educational leadership, Dr. Agustina Lacarte has dedicated her career to enhancing learning experiences across diverse settings. As a Coordinator of the IB certificate in Teaching and Learning at a university and as a PYP Coordinator, Dr. Agustina Lacarte has worked extensively with educators and school leaders to integrate innovative practices and develop curricula that foster critical 21st-century skills.
A member of the IB Educator Network (IBEN) and an advocate for holistic education, Dr. Agustina Lacarte has also been involved in global evaluations and accreditations, supporting schools in their journey toward continuous improvement. Her expertise includes overseeing whole-school program development, leading strategic planning, and guiding schools to achieve excellence in academic performance, community engagement, and student well-being.
Recently, Dr. Agustina Lacarte authored a book on teaching approaches to learning in the PYP, aimed at helping educators guide students in setting and achieving personal and academic goals. This work reflects her commitment to equipping students with the skills they need to thrive in today’s dynamic world.
Dr. Agustina Lacarte is a dynamic speaker, conference presenter, and content creator, with a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education. She is also a member of the HundrED Academy and TRIVIUM research group, continuously exploring new ways to innovate and inspire learning globally.
